voice leaves your mouth. Every emotion has a sound signature. That means every emotion has a sound. These sound signatures have been researched and documented by Manfred Clynes. He calls these sounds of emotions sentic forms. Thoughts and emotions travel on the sound of your voice just like your favorite song travels on the radio station you tune your car radio to, like 102.2 FM. When you speak angrily to a child, or even a dog, the cringe you may observe is more from the tone of your voice than from the words. But more than that, the sound of your voice goes through them. They receive the emotional undertone on the sound as it goes through them, so does every cell of your body. Sometimes it gets stuck there, in the child, the dog, or your body. Sound, including the sound of your voice, is defined as vibrational energy. It is an energy that travels as a wave through matter, including you. Sound goes through you. We do need to express our emotions. However, we also need to become more conscious of the actual, measureable, physiological effect that the sound of our voice has on us, and those around us—positive and negative.
