So how do we go about this clearing out of memories and traumas that we can have no clear memory of today? Here’s the process I’ve begun to use: • Sit down for a short period of meditation. Have a question of inquiry ready. I’ve been using, “What most needs to be released in me in this moment? I am open to the complete release from this moment back to the beginning of time.” • Visualize an outlet for the memories to gently flow from. I’ve created a wonderful garden gate with beautiful flowers growing around it. When I open the gate, that is my mind’s signal to release what might have unconsciously or consciously come up. • Increase awareness of your breathing, inhalin g gratitude and peace and exhaling blockages and memories that no longer serve me or my physical self today. • Close out your time of quiet with an affirmation or declaration of cleansing. I say “I am free and lighter in mind, body, and spirit.” Yes, nutrition and physical exercise are important components to tuning our vessel and showing it love and appreciation, but we can’t forget the mental and emotional parts either. I hope you’ll join me in releasing that which no longer serves us and that which we may have no conscious memory of but using either my process outlined above, or by creating one that serves you even better. release that weight until you peel away the layers of your own losses and just move your body more. Of course, continue at the gym and keep your heart rate up and drink your water and do all that we know we are to do, but also be willing to do the mental work too.” The cell memories of even more decades than I can count are contained in this vessel we call our lives. I get the visual of the lint filter in the dryer: it needs to be constantly cleaned out so that the lint doesn’t accumulate and overheat the machine, allowing it to work at optimal capacity. It’s a wonderful new month of summer fun; go out and enjoy it with activities that give your vessel a loving tune-up!
