a long illness.
Marcel was born in Dunbarton
on Sept. 14, 1935 the son of Cleophas and Louise Marie (Bilodeau)
Morrissette. He was one of sixteen children.
Marcel lived in Manchester
and Nashua for many years and
moved to Whitefield in 1970. He
a worked as a plumber for Fitzmorris Plumbing and Heating
Company and was a retired member of the Local 131 Pipefitters of
Hooksett. He had a Master
Plumber license in the states of
New Hampshire, Vermont, and
Massachusetts. For most of his
life he worked as farmer and
operated a hog farm in Jefferson
for many years. He particularly
enjoyed Sunday and Holiday dinners, having more family members around to share meals and
tell stories.
Surviving family members
include his wife of 62 years Jacqueline J. (Frechette) Morrissette
of Lancaster; three sons Alan R.
Morrissette and companion Berlynda of Groveton, Wayne R.
Morrissette and wife Kathleen of
Concord, Lane R. Morrissette and
wife Patty of Whitefield; three
daughters, June Brooks and husband Glenn of Whitefield, Cindy
A. Ferland and husband Albert of
Vassalboro, Maine, Lou Ann
Davis of Maine; nine grandchildren, Jandee and Laurel Ferland,
Jonathan and Christina Brooks,
David Gooden Jr., Travis Morrissette, Brandon Morrissette, Jefferson and Harrison Davis; ten
great-grandchildren,
Deseray
Brooks, Mina Brooks, Cara and
Anne Brooks, Colton and Leland
Gooden, Ayden and Kaydence
Morrissette, Dawson Laflamme,
Declan McLaughlin; one brother
Raymond Morrissette of Peterborough; four sisters, Terresa Paro
of Manchester, Doris Przybyla of
Londonderry, Dianne Goley of
Manchester, Denise Major of
Bow; several nieces and nephews.
At Marcel’s request there are
no visiting hours. A private service will be held at the conve-
nience of the family. Those who
wish to make a memorial donation may make it to a charity of
their choice.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE
LUNENBURG, Vt.–A Celebration of Life and military honors for Rosario L. “Rosie”
Dupont, 83, who died April 7,
2016, will be held at his home on
Neal Pond at 181 S.E. Pond Road
on Saturday, July 9, at 1 p.m. A
luncheon will follow.

RITA B. CROSS
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.–Rita B.
Cross, 90, formerly of Colebrook,
passed away peacefully on June
28, 2016. At the time of her
death she was residing with her
son and daughter-in-law in their
Knoxville, Tenn., home, where
she had many new and wonderful friends and acquaintances.
Rita was born on Sept. 10,
1925, in Norton, Vt., a daughter
of the late Alphonse and Antoinette (Devost) Brissette.
For the majority of her life,
Rita was a resident of her
beloved north country and was
an integral part of its community
and business life. She had an
unwavering faith in God and was
a main stay in the life of St
Brendan’s Church and the Catholic women of the parish.
She is survived by her three
children: Ronald and Judith
Cross of Knoxville, Tenn.,
Norma and Mike Blake of Concord, and Helen Linnell of
Canaan, Vt.; her grandchildren,
Daniel Cross, Amy Flannary,
Stefanie Drame, Kristen Smith,
Marie Wotton and Mark Linnell.
Additionally Rita was blessed by
many great and great-great
grandchildren, who provided
much joy in her life. She is also
survived by her brothers Francis
Brissette and wife, Barbara, of
Floresville, Tex., Andrew Brissette and wife, Cathy, of Ortonville, Mich., as well as her
sisters-in-law Pearl Brissette
and Grace Lehoux.
Rita is predeceased by her
husband, of sixty years, Holman,
as well as two older brothers,
Dolphis and Bernie Brissette.
A memorial Mass will be held
in Knoxville, Tenn., and per her
request, a funeral Mass and
burial in Colebrook will follow at
a later date, at the convenience
of the family, of which notice will
be given.
Rita was a devotee to the
Mysteries of the Holy Rosary,
and in lieu of flowers the family
asks that those who are Catholic
pray the rosary every day for the
next month, and those who are
not to say a daily prayer, both in
intercession for world peace.
