Caesars warnings before death
The warnings that Caesar got before his bloody death. When the soothsayer told him
to”beware the ides of march” and when his wife Calpurnia had terrible dream. Who knew that
these warnings could have saved his life if only he had listened to them and not become a
stubborn man. How did he react to this and did it do anything to help? Would it had gone a
different way if he would have listened to them ?
Julius Caesar was at the Lupercal parade where many people came. He had happen to
hear someone telling him something. Here came a fortune teller soothsayer and told him to
“beware the ides of March”. He was very questionable but the soothsayer did not bother to
reply to him but to tell him one more time. Caesar asked to see his face but did not. It had
seemed to be a crowded place because he could not get a close look at him. When later on
Caesar himself dies on March 15.

When Calpurnia was sleeping she wakes up with a huge scream saying “ help ho! They
murder Caesar”! It was when Caesar was about to go to the senate house and meet with the
conspirators. It had been March 1, the day that the soothsayer warned him about but it didn't
seem to discomfort him. When later he had been killed by the conspirators. They had all gotten his blood and washed their hands in it. They believed that if Julius Caesar had become the
king, he would change and ruin Rome for his people.
He had two warnings that he did not bother to listen to because all he wanted was to
become king. Even though he went, it did not hurt him at the end for him making the choice.
The thing that hurt him the most was to see that Brutus had also wanted to kill him. “Et tu,
Brute”.
