PREMIER EVENT
Saturday, October 1
@ Water St., Shullsburg, WI
Take a short scenic drive to the third oldest
community in Wisconsin. Shullsburg welcomes fall with their 19th annual festival
celebrating the cheese heritage of the
city with experiences the whole family can enjoy. Held on the towns
historic Water Street, you may
simply delight in the historic
architecture of this quaint
yet thriving town. The street
is closed to motorized traffic for
the Cheesefest so you can enjoy the
festival, town, and history in full glory.
And of course – with so many activities
to keep you going from morning to late into
the afternoon – the street is full of festivalgoers. You may just run into an old friend or
meet a new one!

in shopping for the special and unique,
decorations for fall, or wonderful treats to
take home, you may need a large car to get
all your finds and treasures home. Don’t
forget to stop by the local library for their
annual book sale. From street vendors to local shops, you will fully enjoy the experience

Breakfast, and well-established local pubs
and restaurants with fare and atmosphere
to meet every taste. A food paradise awaits.
Keep busy with activities throughout the
day: try your hand at building scarecrows,
take a hayride through town and view all
the scarecrows on display, send your older
children to play laser tag in the park, have
your caricature drawn by a street artist,
complete a corn maze, or take your children
to the kids’ games.
It wouldn’t be Cheesefest without the focus
and activities around cheese. Local cheesemakers are displaying and sponsoring
cheese events throughout the day. You will
have the opportunity to view cheese being
made, guessing the weight of cheese, and –
new this year – a wine and cheese tasting.
Three local wineries along with a local cheesemaker will have wine and cheese pairings.
Wrap the day up with the raffle drawing and
