Thursday, September 8 7 PM @ Historic Federal Building, City Council Chambers The theme of Mayor Roy D. Buol’s tenth annual presentation will be “Dubuque 2016: An Enterprising City.” The address will focus on community investments, achievements, and plans to prepare Dubuque for the future. It will also be aired live on CityChannel Dubuque (channels 8 and 85.2 on the Mediacom cable system) and streamed live and archived on the City website at CityOfDubuque.org/Media. Movie at the Museum & Lawn Party Friday, September 9 5 PM @ Dubuque Museum of Art / Washington Park This second annual event by the Dubuque Museum of Art features a movie screening in Washington Park with music, food concessions, and games starting at 5:00 p.m. The movie will begin at dusk. Celebrate all things good with great people, phenomenal artists, kick-butt food, and the furry duke of Codfish – the late, great Garp. Already announced artists include Cory Chisel and special guests, The Whigs, Leagues, Steve Gunn, Whitney, Bully, Small Houses, David Ramirez, John Moreland, The Deslondes, Peter Wolf Crier, and Eef Barzelay - Clem Snide. There will be over 30 artists performing over the course of the weekend and only 700 tickets are available. There will be free camping, food, art, drinks, and vendors. Tickets are $125-150.
