POLKA FEST
KIDS EXPO–DUBUQUE COUNTY
This weekend, enjoy and dance to three
great polka bands. Food and beverages
will be available. A polka mass will be held
Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Admission ranges from

This premier family fun and resource fair is an excellent opportunity to learn about area
resources available to families, while enjoying free musical and dance entertainment, crafts,
games, inflatables, and prizes.
Visit over 60 booths to learn more about resources in the community and pick up information
and giveaways. New this year, the expo will include a reading corner and nursing corner/
changing station. Health services for children, including pediatric immunizations, flu shots,
oral health screenings, lead testing, vision checks, and developmental screenings. Immunizations require an advance appointment through the Visiting Nurse Association; call (563)

own 75 years after his death at Pearl Harbor during World War II. The Rev. Aloysius
Schmitt, a 1932 graduate of Loras (then Columbia College), a chaplain in the U.S. Navy,
and hero of 12 men’s lives during the Pearl
Harbor attack, will be laid to rest during a
