What does the fashion industry mean to you , as a female ? To me as a female the fashion and the fashion industry allows me independence and empowerment , I can wear what i want and truly show my personality and creativity through the clothes that I wear . The fashion industry is one of the more female dominated industries so as a female designer I have more advantagesto excel .
Do you think the fashion industry promotes equality ? I feel the fashion industry promotes equality in the fact that male or female you can be a designer however there is an imbalance of females to male designers . Also I find that only in recent years are men gaining more excitement and freedom in their clothing its no longer so basic , men can wear skirts and it be seen as normal .
How would you describe your look ? I ’ d say my look is very uniformed in the fact that I can ’ t not create a colour scheme , if my jacket has pink in i need to match another item of clothing with it . I ’ m very much into clean lines , and i have an unhealthy obsession with mesh clothing articles .
What does being a girl mean to you ? To me being a girl means being opinionated , driven and pretty much unstoppable , we have careers , have kids and juggle the two . we are wonder women and should be proud of it .
