How and when did you start up and why did you choose too ?
“ I Started in October 2013 , although I ’ d always wanted to work for myself I didnt make my first co-ord thinking it would turn into me creating a business . My first co-ord was made for myself to wear out for a friends birthday , I made her one as a gift and after some positive feedback decided to see how it went with selling them . I put it up on instagram and it grew from there …
Whats your biggest piece of advice for individuals like yourself who want to start their own designs ?
“ Stay positive and motivated .. working for yourself requires long hours and self discipline . Recognition doesn ’ t happen over night , but social media is fantastic at spreading your work globally .”
Whats your favourite part about running your own business and selling your own designs ?
“ I ’ ve always enjoyed every aspect of fashion , rather than favoring one part .. so I love being able to have total control from start to finish . It ’ s still so satisfying having people buying your clothes and recieving such lovely feedback and comments from customers ”
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time ?
“ Gawwwwd ... erm .. in 5 years time I hope to still be doing what I enjoy the most , making garments that people love , in a larger studio , making a larger quantity of products . “
What influences you in your designs ?
“ The coords are fashionable , but completely unique . Made from vinatge fabrics means they are all complete one offs , meaning you wont find yourself wearing the same outfit as someone else . I think thats pretty rare these days .”
