Even though it is a year away , London ’ s most stylish have already got themselves worked up over Alexander Mc- Queen ’ s : Savage Beauty , which will open on the 14th March 2015 .

London born and educated , McQueen is an irreplaceable talent that the exhibition will no doubt celebrate . The extraordinary work and creative skills of one of the most innovative designers of recent times will be shown off well throughout his previous work .

“ London ’ s where I was brought up . It ’ s where my heart is and where I get my inspiration ,” said McQueen in 2000 .

The exhibition originally coming from the Met Museum has

been a record-breaking tribute to the successful designer . The New York Times has said that is it “ a button pushing marvel : ethereal and gross , graceful and utterly manipulative , and poised on a line where fashion turns into something else ”.

The British Fashion Awards is an opportunity for the fashion industry to commemorate and encourage extraordinary original talents in the UK . Going since 1989 , the designers , creatives and models have been celebrated for well over 20 years .

With London being a multicultural society and having numerous international fashion students studying here , it allows us to appreciate that talent comes from many different backgrounds and shows off that fashion is interested in individuality , variety and difference .

Last years event included Kate Moss , Donatella Versace , Sienna Miller , Harry Styles and Miuccia Prada ; now that ’ s a high profile guest list if you ever did see one .

The British Fashion Council organizes the ceremony as part of London Fashion Week , with this years awards taking place on the 1st December .
