We caught up with some of our lovely shoppers at
the leeds university Kilo sale to chat Judy love,
losing vintage virginities and style icons....
fans!
Emily and Layla
‘We’ve been to a few kilo
sales and we love them.
They’re great because
you won’t find people
wearing the same
thing and you can mix
and match different
things for a great price.
Vintage often fits better
than high street stuff too.
It’s more exciting and
individual, and we can channel
our style ions: 70s era ate Bush and Stevie Nicks!’
Amber
‘I go to vintage fairs quite often,
I went to the one at Leeds Met
Uni and I always go the
Judy’s ones, they’re
great.I love the fact
that if you get
something vintage,
the chance that
anyone else is
gonna have the
same thing is slim
and you look different
to what most people
are wearing from the
high street. Also you can find good bargains as
well.I’m inspired by people like Mary Kate Olsen, who
can look girly but still wear big boots and vintage
pieces, she always looks really effortlessly grungy.’

Ettie and Laura
‘This is our first Kilo Sale
and we’re loving it!
it’s great to rummagesometimes you find
something that isn’t
necessarily in fashion
but you can still make
it look stylish. We love
Lauren Conrad and
Fearne Cotton’s look...
maybe we can bag some
Hollywood Hills glamour of our
own today!’
Reema
‘I’m definitely a vintage
virgin. I don’t really know
about this kind of stuff
and I don’t know
where to start looking
at these clothes, so I
normally stick to
online shopping. I’ve
always been a bit
unsure of vintage
shopping because the sizes
are all jumbled and it can be a
bit confusing to know whether you’re getting a good
deal, but I’m really glad I got this jumper for just
£5. I don’t know if I’m a proper convert yet though
- when I think vintage I tend to just think about my
grandma!’
