Christianne Legentil (MRI) had beaten you in London. In Rio, you seemed cautious. Were you wary of her?

Ha… ha… I was cautious because she is very strong when you make close contact, so I didn’t want to take any risks.

7

You lost to Odette Giuffrida (ITA) in the 2013 Europeans. Did that play in your mind in Rio?

This was three years ago. To be honest, I didn’t think of it at all.

8

Who do you consider your Top 3 rivals today?

I would say my top top three currently are Misato Nakamura of Japan, Erika Miranda of Brazil and Natalie Kuziutina of Russia.

9

What is your relationship with Distria Krasniqi like? Are you two friends, training partners, enemies?

Ha… ha… no, no we are definitely not enemies. We are friends and training partners. We help each other a lot.

10

Do you have regular training partners or do you mix it up?

No, I always train with Krasniqi even though there are other partners around.

11

What's a typical training day like for you?

I wake up at 8am and go for training at 10am. This can last from one hour to four hours depending on the program for that day. After training, I just rest and wait for the next training which is at 6pm. That usually lasts for two hours.

12

Do you train mainly in Kosovo or do you go for extended training abroad?

I train mainly in Kosovo.

13

How is your coach Driton Kuka like?

In training he is strict but outside of the dojo he is a friend to all of us.

14

Do you watch a lot of judo videos when you are not doing your training in the dojo?

Yes a lot. I watch videos on my own but I also with my coach. So, I know how my main opponents like to fight. Leading up to the Olympics, we studied every aspect of their game in great detail and we built up a strategy for how I’d fight each of them.
