The First Ever National Park is Here

By: JT Eissenberg

In the great state of Wyoming there is a piece of natural beauty. This park is a unique natural ecosystem. You can find a majority of the world’s geysers in this park. The bill to preserve this natural area was signed into law in 1872 by Ulysses S. Grant. I think that the idea to make this wonderful area into a national park was a fantastic idea because it is home to many animals and plants, has amazing views, and has incredible geography.

There are many reasons that Yellowstone should remain a park. First, this wonderful national treasure is home to many animals including: grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Many of these animals are close to extinction and we need to protect them from hunters. Yellowstone does not just have animals; it is also home to many plants and trees. These plants and trees produce a fabulous place for the animals to thrive. People don’t just come to Yellowstone for the plants and animals. Yellowstone also has the most incredible views. You can watch geysers erupt or sit and relax while elk graze in the pastures. Yellowstone has wonderful geography from geysers to mountains.

As you can see Yellowstone is an amazing place and should be kept as a national park. Yellowstone will open the doorway for many more national parks and preserved land. Future generations can now look forward to enjoying many more beautiful places like Yellowstone. Please go to Yellowstone and you will see why I want to fight to keep this natural wonder.
