Educating and Training Women Through a Global Pandemic

For over 95 years , the Junior League of Montgomery ( JLM ) has continually and consistently developed the potential of women who , in turn , improve their community through effective action and leadership . The primary means through which JLM carries out this mission is year-long continued education of its members with a multi-faceted offering of workshops and seminars , cultural trips , health and fitness programs , and much more . Albeit a global pandemic , the JLM remained steadfast and unwavering in our commitment to help our members to grow , both personally and professionally .
As our world battled with the devastating effects of the global pandemic , the two-member Education and Training ( E & T ) committee was hard at work partnering with numerous subject matter experts from various fields , River Region businesses , government and community organizations , and other JLM committees to bring JLM members a wide array of E & T programs , both in-person and virtual . This league year , the E & T committee offered an unprecedented 30 + programs covering such topics as health , wellness , entrepreneurship , diversity and inclusion , leadership development , and much more .
