Serving in JLM has enhanced my adaptability and confidence as a leader and broadened my awareness of the needs in our community . I have made connections , friendships and gained social marketing skills that would not have been possible any other way . I have loved this journey with all of the amazing women I serve with .

Favorite part of being in JLM : My favorite part of being a member of the Junior League of Montgomery is actually two-fold . First , I enjoy the community volunteer opportunities offered to members of the League that I would not know about otherwise . I enjoy building lifelong friendships with other members of the League . Both of these things fuel my desire to continue being an active member .

The JLM has positively impacted me both professionally and personally . The League has provided a welcoming environment where I have met and interacted with professional women from all walks of life . This organization has enhanced my leadership skills by allowing me the opportunity to serve in leadership roles while meeting the needs of the community . The JLM has enabled me to create life-long friendships while doing what I love to do best , helping others .

The reason I joined the JLM : When I joined the Junior League , my reasons were because it was a good opportunity to get involved in the community and to meet new people . Ten years later , I have come to realize that the Junior League is so much more than meeting new people . The League is a community in itself . It is a family of women with the same visions and goals . We are constantly working on gaining the confidence to become better leaders , stronger women , and , in one way or another , working towards ways to improve our community . With that said , my reasons have changed . I joined the League to be part of a family and group of amazing women working toward the same goals .
