How to choose your agent? Hedley

Choosing the agent is the most important decision when selling your home.

Taking the legal requirements fr granted, there are many things that can, and should, influence your choice of agent. Important criteria to consider:

The agent themselves. Experience, integrity and the profile of the company for which the agent works is paramount. Also consider their results in the current market.

Trust: Research shows up to 90% of sellers use the recommendations of friends and family to select their agent. This can be a great indicator.

Knowledge: The agent should be able to justify the valuation price with supporting evidence including recent, comparable sales.

Market reach: Is your agent able to bring relevant buyers to your property? Do they have a history of effective property marketing? Overall, choose your agent first and THEN work with that agent towards establishing the correct market value.

Choosing an agent you feel comfortable with and you feel listens to you is the most important step in selling your home. From there, open communication during the selling process is important in achieving a result you are hoping for.
