Eyelid inflammation (blepharitis) Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelash follicles. Its cause is unclear, but allergies, mites, dandruff, and certain medications may increase the likelihood of this form of inflammation. Eye redness Eye redness occurs when the vessels of the eye become irritated or swollen. It can occur due to dry air, dust, allergies, or as a result of a more serious condition. Dry eyes When the eyes do not produce enough tears, this results in dry eyes. It can be caused by environmental factors, dry eye syndrome, medications, and other causes as well.
