Living Healthy with Diabetes
CHA is also working to increase diabetes awareness
in Cabarrus County by offering the Living Healthy
with Diabetes workshop several times a year. This
free, six-week program educates participants on
managing symptoms of diabetes, keeping blood
sugar in check, communicating effectively with
healthcare professionals, reading and understanding
nutrition labels and continuing to enjoy life.
A diabetes diagnosis is not a requirement to partici-
pate in Living Healthy with Diabetes.
