VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Cabarrus County Special Olympics Animal Shelter
Volunteer at the 2019 Spring Games, April 10 and 11,
at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center. Volunteers
must commit to the entire day, from 8:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Lunch and volunteer T-shirt are provided. For more

to help at the facility off Hwy 49 in Concord. Volunteer
activities include walking the dogs, supervising and play-
ing with the animals, assisting the rescue coordinator,

Volunteer at the Library
The library seeks volunteers for its branches in
Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Midland and
Mt. Pleasant. Activities include shelving books,
program assistance and material processing. Schedule

Join the Cabarrus County Council on Aging
Cabarrus County Council on Aging is a non-profit
volunteer-run group that advocates for and increases
awareness of the needs of seniors. The Council
also supports, through volunteers and/or donations,
many programs and events of the Senior Centers.
Membership is $3 per year, payable directly to the
Council on Aging.

The CDDC relies on dedicated volunteers to assist
with a wide range of events throughout the year. Join

Volunteer at the Senior Centers
The Cabarrus County Senior Center Volunteer
Program is looking for seniors who want to share
their lifetime of skills and knowledge to increase,
expand and enhance programs.
Opportunities include dances (select Fridays and
Saturdays), entertainment (ongoing), lobby desk
(weekdays), instructors (ongoing), special events
and event support fundraisers. To join the volunteer
