WELCOME TO THE JOURNEY
The Little Light House came to life in 1972 when Marcia Mitchell recognized a need in Tulsa
and God gave her a vision to open a school for children with special needs. That vision has
been lived out by you, the Tulsa community. You came along side our dream to make us what
we are today: a model center that is making a huge impact for children with special needs
and their families, not only in Tulsa but throughout the world.
Thanks to your generosity, our heart, vision and influence both locally and internationally
continue to expand in every way. Recently, we were honored to be recognized as Tulsa’s
“Hub of Love” and the “Gem of Tulsa”. We feel honored by these recognitions and are thrilled
to hear how our community members, volunteers, and donors not only get to show love, but
more importantly how they experience love in return from God and our students! You all play
an extremely important role in the journey of our students, and our ministry.
There continues to be a great need for our services to these children and their families. We
currently have close to 300 little ones on our waiting list, and many more beyond our waitlist
that are in need of affordable developmental and educational services. We really do need
your support to continue to help our students, their families, and families throughout the
world thrive! We could not do it without you.
In this world, that is constantly looking for a place to belong and feel loved, thank you
so very much for being a part of our vision and hope in providing Tulsa with a place to
love, be loved and belong!
