KHOROG IS NESTLED BETWEEN A collection of jagged mountain peaks,
part of the Pamir range, and sits at approximately 7,000 feet above sea level.
It’s the capital of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast, and home to Central
Asia Institute Tajikistan. It is from here that CAI Tajikistan’s four staff members
distribute educational aid to the surrounding districts.
