By 1512, the chili pepper was firmly
established in parts of India. It then
spread through Central Asia and
Turkey to China and Japan by the
mid-sixteenth century.
An assortment of spices such
as chili powder, curry, pepper,
ginger, garlic, coriander,
paprika, and cinnamon, are at
the heart of Pakistani cuisine.
