She obtained her BSc (Hons) in International Business Management at Beijing University of Agriculture and Harper Adams University. She has an MA in Management and Organizational Analysis from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. Her research interests centre around the effects of study abroad on entrepreneurial proclivity. Her current research is Chinese entrepreneurial proclivity and the conjectured link with the experience of foreign sojourns: Evidence from a study involving undergraduate students based in Beijing. Dr Keith Walley is the International Programmes Coordinator and researcher in international management at Harper Adams University. Dr Walley has extensive consultancy experience having worked with numerous organisations operating in the public and private sectors, and has published in a wide range of business and management journals including Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Strategic Marketing and Business Strategy and the Environment. His current research interests include acculturation, luxury branding, coopetition, and consumer behaviour. Dr Paul Adkins is a Senior Lecturer in Business Management and PhD Director of Studies at Harper Adams University. Dr Adkins has several years’ experience of tutoring and lecturing both undergraduate and post-graduate domestic and visiting students from foreign parts, especially China. His current research interests include Entrepreneurial Education and Research, New Enterprise Development and Management and Dyslexia Education. Geoff Pugh is Professor of Applied Economics at Staffordshire University Business School. Geoff has recently led evaluation projects for both the UK Government (on school performance) and for the EU Commission (on innovation support programmes). He has a particular commitment to the Western Balkans arising from teaching and supervising many former and current MSc and PhD students (supported by the Open Society Foundation). Geoff is currently an External Expert for the EU’s “European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions”. Sandra Turner is Associate Head of Department, Senior Lecturer and Course Manager for courses run jointly with Beijing Agricultural College and Huazhong Agricultural University. Her research interests focus on international students and in particular their acculturation, the management of culture shock, and the use of Communication and Information Technology (CIT) in their learning, support, and assessment. Mr TAN Feng is Professor in Food Science and Food Supply Chain Management and International Programme Director at Beijing MOTIVATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS OF STUDY ABROAD: EVIDENCE FROM A STUDY OF CHINESE UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS ON A HIGHER EDUCATION TRANS-NATIONAL EDUCATION (TNE) PROGRAMME University of Agriculture. He has thirty years’ experience of working with organisations operating in the Chinese food industry. He has published in a wide range of food management journals in China, including Science and Technology of Food Industry, China Food and Food Science and Technology. His current research interests include food safety management in fresh produce supply chains, food microorganisms and food biotechnology.
