YOUNG LIFE
Young Life began with ideas about sharing the truth of God ’ s love with adolescents in middle and high school and college . The 5 C ’ s of Young Life are Contact Work , Club , Camp , Campaigners and Committee .
In the spring of 2011 , a small group of residents with a vision to reach children met together to pray and discuss a vision for Young Life at Joshua High School . One year later after much prayer and planning , they held their first club for JHS students .
Later the organization rebranded to Johnson County Young Life . It is open to students from all over Johnson County .
In 2022 , WyldLife , a club for Johnson County middle school students , was created . Between the high school and both middle school , almost students are involved each year .
Theresa Boydston is Johnson County Young Life ’ s director and she is assisted by student and adult leaders .
The organization ’ s vision is to serve as a lifeline for students by reaching them where they are in their lives . Students from area public high schools , private schools and homeschools join together at 7:02 p . m . Mondays at 102 N . Main St . in downtown Joshua . WyldLife meet at 5:02 p . m . Fridays when they meet . It is not every Friday .
Your story matters , and it can make a difference beyond what you imagine . Volunteer your time to work directly with young people . Support the staff and leaders as part of the local adult committee . Give resources to start or sustain the financial foundation at the local or national level .
