JOSHUA YMCA
The city of Joshua opened the Joshua Community YMCA in 2013 . The 6,000-square-foot facility sits behind Brookshire ’ s Grocery Store and includes indoor and outdoor areas .
Programs offered at YMCA facilities differ based on needs , meaning rec center members will have input on what programs are available . Those who join the center will also be encouraged to participate in volunteer activities . The recreation center includes state-of-the art workout equipment , an outdoor water park , a youth and teen area , group exercise rooms and a child watch room . The Joshua YMCA is part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth . Those with gym passes to other DFW-area gyms may , depending on their membership , have access to the Joshua facility .
