The Joshua Area Chamber of Commerce has two main objectives — to provide networking and community events for residents and build lasting relationships with local businesses .
A nonprofit organization , JACC is dedicated to supporting businesses of all sizes that recognize the value of being in the community .
The JACC offers resources designed to allow business leaders in this area a means to meet , share knowledge , volunteer and network for a common cause : improving the economic , civic and cultural well being of Joshua and the surrounding area .
The cumulative result of this focused effort rewards everyone involved with an increase in business opportunities , a larger job market , better financial gains and ultimately a better standard of living for all the residents of Joshua .
Kim Henderson was appointed by the board in January to serve as the chamber ’ s CEO and president . As CEO , Henderson works to ensure that members receive what they need from the chamber by working closely with the individuals that make up the membership base . Communication between the chamber and it ’ s members is key . She offers help and support to businesses through innovative networking , marketing and leadership opportunities .
Membership with the chamber generates many benefits , such as quarterly luncheons , new business contacts via a free mailing list and business referrals .
