Bhogishell Parikrama

Bhogishell parikrama was organized this year by Shri Hindu Seva Mandal, Jodhpur, between 27th June and 03rd July. Parikrama started from Ghantaghar in a religious ceremony after Mayor Ghanshyam Ojha handed over flag to the officials of the Shri Hindu Seva Mandal, Jodhpur. Parikrama is organized every three years by the organization. Parikrama comprises of visiting of devotees to various religious places which are scattered all around the hilly locations near by Jodhpur. The total route length is nearly around 107 KM which is covered in seven days with seven halts; the zeal of parikrama is similar to the goverdhan parikrama of Brij and chobis kausi yatra of Ayodhya. During this devotees visits various places which includes riktiya bheru, arna jharna, bhadesariya, kadamkandi, badli bheru, bedhyanath mahadev, beri ganga etcThis Jodhpur Municipal Corporation was involved in providing basic amenities to the devotees participating in parikrama, amenities provided by JMC includes sanitation, road light, tent facility at base camps, drinking water, mick, diesel generator etc. To manage various citizen services in this mega event JMC deployed huge team of staff members and also formed robust mechanism to co-ordinate with the organizers and to help citizens by forming temporary office’s at each base camps.
