Society of International and Current Affairs
In 2025, the Society of International and Current Affairs( SICA) was consolidated through structured training and guided preparation for Model United Nations( MUN) conferences. Delegations were fielded to different nationwide events, including the SJI( International) Law Conference, Singapore Model Cabinet( SMC) and International Model UN Conference( IMUNC) throughout the year. Recognition was recorded for analysis, formal speaking and resolution-drafting across multiple committees, where delegates from the school received various awards for their efforts.

Also this year, there was a transition from the internal SJIMUN to the inaugural SJI Symposium, open to junior colleges and other institutes of higher learning. A deliberate departure from the conventional Model United Nations format was adopted. Intensive group discussions and interactive presentations on the solutions to the problem statement were employed in place of competitive procedures to lower entry barriers for first-time participants and to foreground learning in current affairs.
Consequently, pathways for first-time delegates into the MUN circuit was broadened, understanding of contemporary international issues was deepened and a durable platform for future public-facing programming was established.
