National Cadet Corps( Land)
In 2025, the NCC( Land) unit provided cadets with a holistic experience focused on discipline, resilience and leadership.
Finding bearings in Orienteering
Competition
Key programmes included Krav Maga self-defence training, Navigation using maps and compass and sports like Football and Frisbee. Cadets also practised drills for the Anniversary Parade, forming the Colours Party, Guard of Honour and Supporting Contingent.
To build teamwork, new recruits joined Laser Tag and Escape Room activities at the Singapore Discovery Centre, while outdoor skills were enhanced through the One- Star Kayaking programme. Cadet Leaders completed CPR-AED certification under the Total Defence module.
The Unit achieved 1st place nationwide in the Laser Run Competition and in the Cluster Level NCC Sports Competition. Seventeen cadets earned the Marksman Badge. MSG( NCC) Brent Leong received the Outstanding Cadet Award, MSG( NCC) Shaun Koh earned the Lasallian Distinguished Service Award and 1SG( NCC) Vishak represented SJI in a successful Mt Ophir expedition.
