Horatius Koh has demonstrated exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to the school community in his many roles as a leader in the school . Humble and warm in his ways , Horatius is a reliable leader who executes his responsibilities judiciously . One of his strengths is his ability to inspire and rally his teammates to work towards a common vision .
As Vice-President of the 11th Student Council , Horatius has consistently demonstrated exceptional initiative and a strong sense of responsibility in leading a team of 33 councilors . Previously , he served as President of the Student Council in the secondary section , where he honed his leadership skills . His contributions to the meticulous planning and effective organisation of numerous large scale school events , such as Teachers ’ Day , Chinese New Year and Christmas Celebrations , Orientation Camp , Graduation Day , Night Study , Prom Night , Leaders ’ Investiture , and Open House , have been instrumental in fostering school spirit and engagement .
One of Horatius ‘ key responsibilities was to conceptualise and organise the Lasallian Leadership Training Camp 2023 and 2024 . This was aimed at nurturing effective leaders within both the secondary and senior sections . He actively participated in planning significant conferences , including CURA , an online international event focused on addressing real-world issues such as sustainability , and Youth Leadership Dialogue , a national conference designed to promote youth engagement and activism in global and societal issues .
In addition to his contributions to the Student Council , Horatius has also served as Captain of the Track and Field ‘ A ’ Division Team which is reflective of his versatility and ability to lead different groups of students in the school . He has represented the school in numerous competitions throughout his secondary years , achieving notable success , including being a finalist in the 5000-meter event at the National School Games . As captain , he recognised the importance of nurturing camaraderie among teammates and supporting their mental and emotional well-being , especially given the demanding training regimen of 3-4 sessions per week .
Horatius has also been an active member of the school ’ s Catholic fraternity where he has served to lead his peers in weekly prayer and worship and organising camps .
Through his actions and interactions , Horatius exemplifies the Lasallian values of Faith , Service , and Community . Horatius ’ fine personal attributes and varied contributions in school activities make him a deserving recipient of this award .
Ernest Leung is an esteemed Chairman and student councillor who consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership , remarkable character , and a deep commitment to our community .
As a leader , Ernest guides his team with integrity and vision . His ability to articulate clear goals has been instrumental in achieving success . Defined by honesty , transparency , and fairness , he fosters a culture of trust and respect , ensuring every member feels valued and heard . Always open to feedback , he actively seeks ways to improve processes and outcomes . His commitment to excellence is evident in his attention to detail and pursuit of the highest standards . Known for his empathy and compassion , Ernest genuinely cares for his team members and goes out of his way to support them , both professionally and personally .
As a student councillor , Ernest has demonstrated outstanding leadership and organisational skills . Serving as Vice-Chair for CURA , the Online International Asian Sustainability Conference , he played a key role in ensuring the event ’ s success . His dedication to promoting sustainability on a global platform reflects his commitment to meaningful causes .
Ernest ’ s role as an Orientation Camp Group Leader and Planning Committee member highlights his ability to foster community and support his peers . He guided new students and contributed to the camp ’ s planning and execution , ensuring a welcoming and enriching experience for all participants .
His involvement in the Lasallian Leadership Training Camp ( LLTC ) in 2023 and 2024 further exemplifies his dedication to leadership development . In 2023 , as an organising team member , he coordinated with external speakers and led reflection sessions aimed at instilling Lasallian values in new leaders . In 2024 , he stepped up as a mentor , planning physical leadership activities and guiding new team members , showcasing his mentorship abilities and deep understanding of leadership principles .
Beyond his leadership roles , Ernest ’ s achievements extend into academics . In 2023 , he received the Engineering and Tech Programme Scholarship , awarded to students with a talent for applied , interdisciplinary , and handson learning . This scholarship is a testament to his ability to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges .
