Janine is a dynamic individual whose unwavering commitment to service and genuine respect for every individual resonate deeply within the SJI community . Her vibrant spirit , warmth , and selflessness make her a shining example of integrity and compassion .
Janine ’ s exceptional qualities extend well beyond the classroom , embodying the essence of Josephian values in her life . She possesses an innate ability to infuse enthusiasm and cheerfulness into every endeavour , enriching the school community . As a student leader , she has skillfully used her privilege to create an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging .
In her role as Vice President of the Lasallian Youth CAS , Janine exhibited outstanding leadership capabilities . She tirelessly championed the well-being of her fellow mentors , ensuring they were empowered to guide and inspire young children effectively . Her meticulous planning and oversight of events reflect her commitment to excellence , fostering unity and collaboration among her peers .
Janine ’ s adventurous spirit led her to explore a new sport — Dragonboat racing . Her initial reservations soon transformed into a sense of accomplishment as she bonded with her team through rigorous training sessions . Competing against varsity teams in her first competition , Pesta Sukan 2022 , and later in the National School Games in 2023 , Janine ’ s dedication and teamwork certainly contributed to a stronger camaraderie and shared success .
Janine further played a role in building a more cohesive SJI community through her role in the Lasallian Leadership Training Camp , first as an organising team member last year and subsequently as an organising team mentor this year . In these capacities , she was instrumental in ensuring the camp ran smoothly for Year 3 Student Leaders . Her dedication to fostering leadership skills among her peers exemplifies her commitment to Lasallian values , and her mentorship left a lasting impact on those she guided . As an Orientation Group Leader this year for the incoming Year 5 , she made them feel welcome and helped them assimilate into SJI . Janine also participated in the Josephian Family Mission in 2022 where she travelled to Cambodia to participate in service projects .
What truly distinguishes Janine is her humility and approachability . Despite her numerous accomplishments and leadership roles , she remains grounded and readily approachable to her peers .
Janine ’ s serene exterior conceals a remarkable inner strength — a steely resolve and an unwavering commitment to excellence . Her determination knows no bounds , and her tenacity exemplifies the spirit of striving for greatness in all endeavours .
