Anxel is a dedicated student who exhibited a strong passion for learning and a remarkable self-motivation . He took immense pride in his work , which translated into his eagerness to acquire new knowledge and enhance his existing skills for self-improvement . Anxel ’ s friendly and confident demeanour allowed him to build strong relationships with his peers and demonstrate empathy and sensitivity towards their needs and emotions . He proved himself to be a principled individual who remained unwavering in his convictions , impervious to peer pressure .
As the President of Beacon under Creativity , Activity and Service ( CAS ), Anxel exhibited exceptional leadership skills . He efficiently handled administrative responsibilities , successfully coordinated various events , and maintained effective communication with relevant stakeholders . Notably , he organised a highly successful bake sale and actively participated in community events such as Volunteer @ OFH . His dedication shone through in his coordination of the CAS Fair for Orientation 2023 and Concert Agape 2023 , highlighting his commitment to community service . Anxel also played a pivotal role in shaping the Executive Committee for 2023-2024 and contributed to planning the Beacon Handover & Leadership Workshop .
Anxel ’ s willingness to embrace new experiences was evident when he joined the Frisbee team despite lacking prior sports experience , demonstrating the importance of stepping outside one ’ s comfort zone . Additionally , he actively participated in various sessions and expeditions as a member of the photography club , which helped him hone his skills and boost his self-confidence . An avid photographer , his dedication to photography was recognised when he volunteered as the Year 6 Prom photographer and secured the 1st place in the Best Street Photography Category in a competition organised by the Photography CAS .
Anxel ’ s versatility and leadership abilities extended to his involvement in the Staff Paraliturgy 2022 musical , where he assumed the challenging role of a brother aboard the La Julie ship , gaining confidence and overcoming personal inhibitions in the process . Furthermore , during Orientation 2023 , Anxel held multiple roles , including Orientation Group Leader , Station Master , and the Major in the Heritage Play . In these roles , he showcased his leadership and mentoring skills by helping incoming students acclimate to the school ’ s culture and surroundings as a Year 5 Orientation Group Leader . His portrayal of Father La Salle in the Heritage Play contributed to students ’ appreciation of the school ’ s rich history and allowed him to hone crucial social skills . Anxel ’ s role as a facilitator at the Sec 1 Boys ’ Brigade # Hashtag recruits camp exemplified his ability to provide support and build connections with newcomers , making them feel welcome in both the CCA and the Church community .
Anxel consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills , a proactive approach to embracing new opportunities , and an unwavering commitment to positively impacting the school community and society at large . His determination to overcome obstacles and confront challenges head-on is truly commendable . Anxel is poised for success in all his future endeavours and will be a valuable asset to any organisation or higher education institution he chooses to join .
