Siddhartha is a person of integrity and exhibits the qualities of a true Josephian . His readiness to be of service to both his peers and teachers is clear in his attitude . What really sets him apart from his peers is his mature approach towards life , and this has helped to transform him into a steadfast and reliable Josephian .
Siddhartha is a highly motivated individual who sets clear goals for himself . A conscientious worker , he has shown perseverance and commitment to achieve his personal best in all his undertakings . He takes great pride in his work and consistently produces work of a very high quality . His aptitude for academic excellence saw him achieving many awards . In 2022 , he was the Top Student and received the Brother Lawrence Trophy . Siddhartha was also the Best Science Scholar and received the Brother Paul Rogers Trophy .
Mrs Wang Pei Feng , his form tutor and Math tutor , is full of praise for him and shares , “ Siddhartha is academically inclined . He is a hardworking student who has the determination to do well in his studies . He has a dexterous mind and is good with figures . He excels in self-supervision and self-improvement , demonstrates a keen attitude towards learning , and is quick to grasp new concepts . In class , Siddhartha is never selfish in sharing knowledge and is always willing to help weaker students . He radiates warmth and assurance in his interaction with his peers . He is highly motivated and possesses the drive to accomplish work promptly and efficiently . He is well-respected by his peers for his sense of maturity as well as his genuine ways . I am very blessed to have a student like Siddhartha ”.
His Chemistry Tutor , Mr Tan Yan Li adds , “ Siddhartha ’ s academic journey has been marked by his unwavering commitment to excellence . His conscientious nature , maturity beyond his years , and innate self-motivation set him apart from his peers . Siddhartha ’ s mastery of Chemistry concepts and his ability to apply them in different contexts highlight his deep understanding of the subject . His success in Chemistry serves as a testament to his diligence and underscores his commitment to excellence , making him a shining example for his peers to emulate .”
Siddhartha exhibited maturity in balancing his time between studies and Co-Curricular Activity ( CCA ) well . Due to his strong leadership traits , he was also selected to participate in the Lasallian Leadership Training Camp ( LLTC ) which aimed to prepare him to undertake leadership roles . He was then elected to be the Vice Captain of the Basketball Team as he garnered the cooperation and respect of his juniors and peers . Siddhartha is a born leader who is humble and gives due respect to others . Ms Roziyah , teacher-incharge of Basketball states , “ Beyond academic excellence , Siddhartha possesses a remarkable character . As the Basketball Vice-Captain , Siddhartha radiates positivity and kindness , fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within our Basketball team . His willingness to assist others and his innate leadership qualities shine through in CCA . Siddhartha is a shining example of academic prowess coupled with a genuinely kind and positive disposition . I am so happy that Siddhartha is receiving this award as he truly deserves it .”
For all the accomplishments Siddhartha has achieved , he continues to be unassuming and remains eager to learn and serve . Siddhartha is grounded and humble and is truly a worthy recipient of the Lasallian Distinguished Service Award .
