ROLL OF HONOUR
Kerk Nathan

Lasallian Distinguished Service Award ( Year 4 )
Nathan is a true Josephian , a person who embodies the qualities of compassion and integrity in his everyday life . With these rooted values , Nathan led many successful Fraternity events , exhibiting enthusiasm in all that he does .
Nathan ’ s interactions with peers and teachers alike are characterised by an open-minded disposition , consistently investing his utmost in every entrusted opportunity . He is a personable individual whom others readily approach for advice , with his innate optimism serving as a beacon of inspiration . His eloquence shines through when articulating his ideas and thoughts , while his commitment to fostering healthy and harmonious relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds has earned him widespread respect and admiration .
Nathan is undoubtedly a servant leader , who puts the needs of the school community before his own . He took on several leadership positions that gave him opportunities to serve the school at large . In his term as a Fraternity captain , Nathan demonstrated servant leadership at events , such as the Year 1 Orientation Camp . In Nathan ’ s own words , he leads “ not because people expect it ”, but because he “ feels strongly about making an indelible difference to each Josephian ’ s school experience ”. Nathan has positively impacted the lives of many Josephians through his leadership .
Even though Nathan was the Captain for Lawrence Fraternity , he took the initiative to represent the other Fraternity Captains from the Secondary section and worked closely with their Year 6 counterparts to build a unified Fraternity experience for all students . The hours spent planning out his Fraternity meetings meticulously are immediately evident to all who attended a Lawrence Fraternity meeting . The electric atmosphere and enthusiastic responses by the student body are testimony to Nathan ’ s leadership and ability to rally everyone together . Through his consistent efforts in establishing clear communication with his Year 6 counterparts and his active cooperation with his seniors , Nathan has bridged the fraternity bond between the Year 4s and the Year 6s . He can truly be credited for bringing the Fraternity spirit back in a post-pandemic SJI .
Nathan conscientiously strives to create an increasingly positive and interconnected school community that is bonded by brotherhood and respect . He understands and displays the spirit of a true Lasallian , seeking to create an authentic sense of belonging within the student body . He certainly is a worthy recipient of the Lasallian Distinguished Service Award .
