Yu Sheng is a dedicated servant leader with an affable personality and excellent communication skills . He is sincere and genuine in his interaction with his peers who trust him and approach him when they need a listening ear or advice .
His form tutor has this to share about Yu Sheng : He is a determined student who strives hard to achieve his goals . A disciplined student who manages his time well , he has performed consistently well academically and at the same time , contributed much to the Prefectorial Board .
As a member of the Prefectorial Board ’ s Executive Committee , Yu Sheng played an active role as one of the ICs in the Central Development Council Voucher Scheme . The Secondary Four cohort spent six days in various community centres engaging residents by teaching them to redeem their vouchers .
His teacher in charge noted that it was heartening to observe how Yu Sheng and his team worked tirelessly to deconflict the deployment of the students to the various community centres and clashes between the Year 1 Orientation Camp which was taking place concurrently . It was reassuring that Yu Sheng was able to keep in constant contact with the groups throughout the day .
Yu Sheng was a member of the Peer Support Board in 2022 and 2023 , where he helped new students settle into the new environment amidst the uncertainty during the pandemic . In 2023 , he took on greater responsibility by planning orientation camp activities with the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions . He put in a lot of effort to ensure the new students had a fun and memorable experience while learning about the heritage of the school . He was quick to respond and adapt the activities to accommodate changes in the programme .
Yu Sheng has the knack for staying calm and unruffled in stressful situations while livening the situation with his quick wit and ability to see the silver lining despite the challenges he faces . He can be counted on to come up with innovative and practical solutions to problems . Despite his happy-golucky demeanour , Yu Sheng can be trusted to focus on the task at hand and see it through to fruition to the best of his ability .
