CHAPTER 1
STAFF REDEPLOYMENT
Mdm Lim Lay Hoon has been in education for about 35 years , beginning her career in Catholic Junior College , becoming its Head of Mathematics before moving on to Jurong West Secondary School as its Vice Principal .
Coming to SJI as Vice Principal in 2021 , Mdm Lim oversaw the IBAM Academy and Staff Professional Learning in the school . As VP , she is values-driven and has a heart for the staff and students , and she role modelled and championed professional values and ethics .
Mdm Lim worked closely with staff members to foster a strong culture of professional learning and sharing that encouraged collaboration , professional growth and innovation , resulting in staff members sharing their best practices in Teaching and Learning at various cluster and national platforms and presenting papers at international conferences . Mdm Lim is strong in her action management . Systematic and organised , she monitored and reviewed work progress to bring about effective outcomes , and adapted work plans to achieve school goals .
SJI appreciates and respects Mdm Lim for her sincerity , generosity of spirit and optimism , and we wish her all the best as she takes on her new appointment as Vice Principal of CHIJ Secondary ( Toa Payoh ).
STAFF RETIREMENT
These special individuals retire this year , having been feted by both colleagues and students . As they leave with wonderful memories of a life well-spent building lives and serving others , we wish them all the very best for the next stage of life .
