SJI COMMUNITY
National Day
Due to the Covid-19 situation this year , National Day was celebrated differently . The SWC encouraged staff to paint the school and town in their red outfits as part of the “ Get Red-y for Friday ” initiative . The staff indeed painted the town / school red in their most eye-catching shades of red and white . It was a heartening sight despite the changes and challenges that we had to deal with .
Corporate Social Responsibility - Food From The Heart In our final initiative for the year and as part of our school motto to help the last , the lost and the least , SJI staff embarked on our corporate social responsibility activity in the hopes of rendering help to the community . In 2019 , SJI adopted Food From The Heart as our beneficiary and this year we continued the tradition of rendering aid to them . The staff were generous with their donations of milo packets , biscuits , and tins of sardines and baked beans . It was heartening to see the staff give back to the community in the ways that they can . We concluded the donation drive on 29 September and representatives from Food From The Heart collected the donated items on behalf of their organization .
EAS Day
On 17 September , the school celebrated the community of EAS staff for their contributions . In light of Covid-19 , we could not have a large-scale gathering , hence sumptuous bento sets were ordered for the EAS staff .
