Becoming Innovators for Others

Set up in 2020 , Design & Innovation Club ( DAI ) is a talent development CCA set up specially for DSA Innovation students . The CCA is an extension of the Innomakers Programme ( IMP ) and it provides members with varied learning opportunities and compete in national and international platforms . Students learn to be the agents of change by innovating in service to the larger community through meaningful community projects .
Members are introduced to 21st-century skill sets like coding , micro-controllers , 3D printing , digital visualization , multimedia and prototyping . Students in the CCA are supported in finding their individual strengths and are given a platform to use these strengths in competitions and higher level training . Members are encouraged to share and conduct peer teaching in order to expand their skill sets for innovating and making .
Year 2 member , James Chen , conducted a simple introductory course on app development to all the Year 1 members . They learnt how to write simple code to create an app that can identify an object by using the face recognition technology .
