4 May 2020 : Founder ’ s Day
Unlike previous years where Founder ’ s Day was celebrated with much fanfare on the first Friday in April , this year ’ s celebration had to be postponed and conducted differently because of COVID-19 . As the dates for the academic term were shifted to end on 4 May instead of end of May where the month-long school holidays were to begin , the school celebrated Founder ’ s Day on this last day of Term 2 to mark the end of a tumultuous term .
The celebration began with a Founder ’ s Day Talk Show hosted by Mr Firmin Lee and Mr Michael Ee . This was followed by an address by Bro Paul Ho , FSC and interview excerpts from various students and teachers . Students
also put together three encouraging video montages - “ Do It Together ”, “ Stronger Together ” and “ Founder ’ s Day Will Go On ” - to spur each other on during this trying lockdown period that began since April . Principal Fr Adrian Danker , SJ gave his Closing Address before the students were dismissed to begin a restful school holiday after a demanding and challenging month of Full Home-Based Learning .
The academic awards were subsequently presented to the prize-winners in Term 3 and 4 when the students returned to school .
