Bhojwani Yash Manoj ( TG609 )
Bhojwani Yash Manoj is a true Josephian and a person of integrity with a strong sense of faith , service and community . He is helpful to those in need and his amiable and kind-hearted nature has endeared him to his fellow Josephians . He is also exemplary in his conduct and is able to influence others positively . During his six years in the Integrated programme and two years in the Senior Section IB programme , Yash has made many good friends with his kind and easy going nature . His willingness to put the needs of others above all , as well as his sincere belief in the goodness of others , are rare qualities that make him one of the most popular students of his cohort .
Yash possesses a positive learning attitude . Responsible and conscientious , he is proactive and organized in managing his own learning . Yash handles criticism well and uses it in a constructive manner to improve his academic performance . For all his IB Internal Assessment research , he was an assiduous worker who synthesizes information in a critical manner . Developing the analytical skills to determine an appropriate methodology was also essential to Yash ’ s research process . In class , he worked well independently and in a team . He encouraged a positive learning environment in classrooms and contributed enthusiastically during group discussions .
Yash is engaged in all aspects of school life , influencing and leading others to contribute positively to the school and beyond . He displayed leadership qualities in his various capacities . In spite of his heavy academic workload , he was a Prefect since he was in the Secondary Section and subsequently the Head of Public Relations ( Executive Committee ) of the Senior Student Council . He was also a mentor to the National Police Cadet Corps , his Co-curricular Activity ( CCA ) in Year 1 - 4 . His leadership qualities have been further developed through his responsibilities as the Head Administration of the Year 5 Orientation Programme 2019 and Head Programmes of the SJI Student Leaders ’ Convention 2019 . He is a confident and charismatic leader who gives due respect to others and empowers them to act .
As a student leader , besides being involved in numerous school events , Yash also participated in CAS activities such as Coding & Technology , Touch Rugby and BEACON . In the area of community involvement , Yash has contributed to several projects . He participated in the GEP programme in Chiang Mai , Thailand , contributing to the well-being of the locals . He was also involved in bake sales held in school , as a way to raise money for a teacher who was diagnosed with cancer . Yash ’ s contribution to ACE , where he personalluy interacted with students who were struggling in certain aspects of their life by working and playing with them , is indeed impressive .
Yash is a man for others . Besides awarded the Lasallian Student Award and the Edusave Character Award in 2015 , he is also the recipient of the Distinguished Lasallian Leadership and Service Award in 2019 . It is patently clear that he has a heart to serve others , and to be a valuable member of our society in future with his leadership skills and sensitivity to the needs of others .
