LEARNING JOURNEYS
3 . COLLABORATE The SJI Learning Festival provided a platform for teachers to grow their professionalism by learning through sharing of good T & L practices . A total of 14 synopses ( from 10 SJI learning teams , 2 individual submissions and 2 from cluster level ) were submitted for the event . There was a total of 11 sessions with 26 teacher-presenters . To facilitate the growth of the presenters , PD friends were appointed to journey with each presenter so as to help them make their planning , thinking and growth visible .
4 . CONNECT In April this year , our staff went on a Learning Journey that is matched to their interests and specific learning needs , to Connect and learn from external agencies . Each group of teachers then shared their learning points at the weekly Contact Time .
2019 also saw 7 of our teachers presenting papers at both National and International platforms . For example , Mr Karthickeyen Govindaraj presented a paper at the Fifth Extensive Reading World Congress , Feng Chia University , Taichung , Taiwan .
