Year 4 Speech & Graduation Day
The Year 4 graduation ceremony for the O-Level graduands on 11 October saw the return of Mr Ian Luke Chan ( Class of 2014 ) who was the Guest of Honour . Ian had lost vision in his right eye at eight as a result of glaucoma and became completely blind when he was in Secondary 4 in 2014 . His unyielding determination and his sense of humour despite the many challenges as a result of his visual impairment is a true inspiration to many . Nine Lasallian Distinguished Service awards were presented to outstanding students , including an additional Spirit of SJI award which was presented to Theodore Tang . The school ’ s highest honour - the Senior Josephian award was presented to James Slade Lim , while Alden Ler was named the SJIOBA Sportsman of the Year . ( See Chapter 2 for details )
