Ms Lee Pick Siew
Ms Lee Pick Siew is one of the nine teachers who received the 2019 MOE Distinguished Chinese Language Teacher Award .
This award recognises deserving Chinese language teachers who have shown exemplary effort towards the teaching of the Chinese language and culture . The Awards also reward teachers who have been cultivating students ’ interest in the Chinese language and culture through creative teaching or co-curricular activities , and developing an appreciation for the Chinese language and culture in students . This event is organised by Lianhe Zaobao and ZBSchools . sg and coorganised by Singapore Centre for Chinese Language , The Society of Chinese Education Singapore , Singapore Chinese Teachers ’ Union and Singapore Middle School Chinese Teachers ’ Association , and sponsored by Lee Foundation .
Mrs Raja Geetha
Mrs Raja Geetha has been awarded the Best Tamil Trainee Teacher Award at the award ceremony for The Most Inspiring Tamil Teacher Award 2019 . This prestigious award is jointly organised by Tamil Murasu , Singapore Tamil Teachers ’ Union and the Tamil Language Learning and Promotion Committee . This award serves to recognise the stellar performance of Tamil Language teachers in their role as Tamil Language Educators and in promoting Tamil Language among their students .
Mrs Vivian Tan
Mrs Vivian Tan has been bestowed the 2019 Associate of Academy of Singapore Teachers Award . The Academy of Singapore Teachers ( AST ) is presenting this award to Mrs Tan in recognition of her invaluable contributions to the professional development of teachers . She has been conducting workshops and sharing sessions on the teaching of Art at AST to many Art teachers .
