CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ( CCA ) & CREATIVITY ACTIVITY AND SERVICE ( CAS )
Throughout the year , members of the Indian Cultural Society ( ICS ) proved their eloquence and proficiency in Tamil Language and Literature through various platforms . Uma Shankar Suhas and Sanfo Bimal Thomas ( Y4 IP students ) took part in a research presentation competition organised by the Annamalai University Alumni Association , where they had to present about Tamil in future technology . Despite fierce competition from top schools in Singapore , our boys clinched the 3rd place .
Our ICS members have showcased not only their eloquence but also other aspects such as writing and dramatized reading . Earlier this year , the Tamil Language Unit of the MTL Branch in MOE organised the “ Budding Writers , Artistes and Poets ” Programme in Tamil Language . Our students attended the Short Story Writing , Script writing and Dramatised Reading competitions . After two rounds of eliminations , our students who had participated in these competitions proceeded to the finals of the competition . Packiaraj Alanjoyel from ( FN402 ) won the gold award . The students who had participated in the Script Writing and Dramatised Reading competition , Sanfo Bimal Thomas ( ML 401 ), Shananth Sivakumar ( ML 401 ) and Vishal Theerthagiri ( MN 402 ) also put in their best effort , and won the gold award as well .
Finally , this year would not have been eventful if not for the ICS camp held this year . The camp aims to orientate the lower secondary participants with activities such as an Amazing Race as well as workshops by external vendors and university representatives . This camp was undeniably a great opportunity for the senior section and the junior section to bond , one of its key aims . It has been yet another fulfilling year for our Indian Cultural Society members .
