CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ( CCA ) & CREATIVITY ACTIVITY AND SERVICE ( CAS )
2019 has been a fruitful and monumental year for the Vocal Ensemble ( VE ). With the help of the teachers and conductor Mr Toh Ban Sheng , we were awarded a Certificate of Distinction at this year ’ s Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation ( SYF ) and presented with a Gold Award at the 13th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus . Aside from participating at those concerts , the VE has also engaged in various school-based events such as Inaugural Celebrations , Arts Alive , the Mutien Festival and the Heritage Opening Cermony . We also enjoyed the opportunity to take part in a Master Class conducted by the world-renowned conductor , Stojan Kuret who specialises in European music . He made a definite difference in helping us improve , taking our music making to a whole new level .
Other than the performances , the choir also had many bonding activities such as the Choir Camp held in March . Many games were organised so that we had an opportunity to interact with one another and create strong bonds with each other .

The junior members also had a chance to take part in the VIA Scubillion Project held at First Toa Payoh Primary School where they interacted with and read stories to Primary 1 and 2 children , helping them benefit from the English Langauge .
As a choir , we have developed our musical abilities together as we learnt to take all the struggles and difficulties in stride and always deliver our best on stage . The intrinsic reward that comes thereafter has been fulfilling . All in all , this year has been a fast-paced and exciting journey for us .
