CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ( CCA ) & CREATIVITY ACTIVITY AND SERVICE ( CAS )
Our Josephian ruggers are strong-willed and determined individuals , juggling their tri-weekly training with their academics . Never letting it be an excuse for us not to train and better ourselves in our field , we humbly strive to be the best in our sport .
This year , our ‘ C ’ division players put up a valiant effort with each showing the grit and determination of a Josephian rugger . We truly gave everything we had in both the 7s and 15-a-side competitions . Even when plagued with injuries during our 15s season , we kept our heads up and played on .
Our ‘ B ’ division boys also put on an incredible showing of skills in our 15-a-side competition , scoring in volume against the likes of ACS Barker and Raffles Institution . Additionally , we gave the Raffles Institution players a match to remember as we fought to the very end , though eventually losing by 7 points . Our SJI players truly showed great tenacity in all the competitions , well done boys !
C Division Winners
The SJI Rugby team also contributed our service to wider rugby community by supporting the annual HSBC Singapore Rugby 7s Series as ball boys for the second year . Our boys humbly served in the background and were commended for being some of the best ball boys we have worked with , displaying truly what it means to be men for others .
The rubgy community is grateful for the undying support of the parents who support our endeavours on and off the pitch , the teachers-in-charge for keeping the boys in check and our brothers who constantly spur us on . We are especially grateful for Coach Teo and Coach Roy for having dedicated their time to nurture us as true ruggers .
