LEARNING JOURNEYS

Lasallian Conversations

The daily hum of teaching and administrative duties leaves teachers with precious little time to pause and reflect on our core values as Lasallian educators . Left unattended , there is the potential to lose sight of that which drives our desire to teach . The Lasallian Conversations are designed to help staff members keep in touch with our core Lasallian values .
These conversations invite staff to become reacquainted with the teachings and practices of our founder , De La Salle and those who have followed in his footsteps . These sessions also offer the opportunity for edification as hearing about the experiences of others can be a powerful means of encouraging growth . The teachers are invited to renew their commitments expressed in the Lasallian Teacher ’ s Pledge .
The Lasallian Conversations are held once a term . Listening to a prepared talk has been a staple of the programme . Discussion questions are offered to encourage the staff to speak to one another .
