CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ( CCA ) & CREATIVITY ACTIVITY AND SERVICE ( CAS )
The SJI Drama Club challenges students to continually improve their language and communicative skills , critical thinking skills , management of affective factors and hone their performance craft to a fine edge . In providing an inclusive and holistic experience , the members of the SJI Drama Club have been actively involved in both internal and external school programmes .
1 . The Human Values Drama Festival With an original script written by our very own senior members , our students produced and performed a play nuanced with the injustice of discrimination and marginalisation of migrant workers , making a strong social statement that their audience can reflect on .
2 . SJI Open House “ Treasure Island ” performance As the name suggests , a special adaptation was made for the SJI Open House that provided not only our experienced members with a challenge in scripting and self-direction but also many of our younger members an opportunity to find the inner actors within !

3 . SJI Open House “ Animal Farm ” Interactive Campaign Our youngest and newest Year 1 members put their own Literature skills to use as they married curriculum and CCA in an attempt to create an interactive and immersive experience for parents and students attending the Open House . Playing animals from George Orwell ’ s classic , “ Animal Farm ”, they vied for virtual ‘ votes ’ from visiting parents and potential students .
4 . Immersive school exchange experience with Fajar Secondary School In the spirit of sharing and learning , the SJI Drama Club visited Fajar Secondary School . Their generosity and friendliness was truly humbling ; it was an enriching experience that left many of our members in awe and inspired , excited for what the future holds .
5 . SJI Teacher ’ s Day Concert From the beginning , everyone was determined to provide a quality performance for the teachers . They have made all the difference in our school lives and it was so important for us to get it right . An original script was penned that depicted the grim possibility of a future without human teachers and how they mattered to us all . In the end , the hours put into the rehearsals and preparation were worth it - it was the least we can give our teachers !
