CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ( CCA ) & CREATIVITY ACTIVITY AND SERVICE ( CAS )
Formed in 2002 as a bagpipe section of the Military Band , the Drum Corp was eventually established in 2006 .
Having competed in both local and overseas competitions in Malaysia , Indonesia and Australia , the SJI Pipe Band has grown from strength to strength . The Pipe Band showcased its talents at several school events like Arts Alive , Inaugural Service , Track & Field , Founder ’ s Day Assembly , Open House and Thanksgiving assembly .
The significant events for the year include :
• St . Patrick ’ s Parade at the Esplanade
• Anniversary Parade at SJI
• Exchange programme with Scots School Albury
• Singapore Southeast Asian Pipe Band Championship ( 4th place )
• National Day performance at Sentosa
• Founder ’ s Day Dinner ( by the SJI Old Boys Association )
