CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ( CCA ) & CREATIVITY ACTIVITY AND SERVICE ( CAS )
The SJI St John Brigade ( SJB ) is a uniformed group which emphasises developing the First Aid proficiency of our cadets , with service as our core . Guided closely by the St John motto ‘ For the Faith , For the Service of Humanity ’, we are constantly reminded of our mission to help the sick and injured regardless of nationality , status , race or religion . This year , SJB has accomplished much to bring out excellence in our cadets .
With First Aid as a pivotal focus , SJB plays a salient role in providing public duty support for major school activities and sharing our knowledge with the school . In order to equip the SJI student population with basic First Aid knowledge , our St John leaders conducted a session for CCA leaders . On top of events organised by the school , SJB has also actively participated in activities hosted by Headquarters . This includes our cadets ’ involvement in the Basic Leadership Training Course ( BLTC ) and Advanced Leadership Training Course ( ALTC ), where they honed their leadership skills .
Our cadets ’ dedication and enthusiasm have also brought us stellar achievements . Apart from attaining Gold for the annual Corps Achievement Award , we have also produced three Chief Commissioner ’ s Badge Recipients , SSSGT Khoo Teng Yon ( ML402 ), SSGT Gregory Choong ( LE401 ) and SSGT Rishabh Mahesh ( ML403 ). In addition , Lutfi Hadi Bin Marzuki ( LE303 ) was presented the STAR award as the best cadet in one of the NDP rehearsals . These outstanding accomplishments would not have been made possible without the zeal and commitment of every cadet and the guidance from the teacher officers .
